HELP WITH INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT

I am a provider for a number of insurance companies and have been able to provide the forms and documentation the insurance companies need to help you get reimbursed. If your insurance covers breast reconstruction it is by law that areola repigmentation is covered.

Victoria Knight is an amazing artist with incredible attention to the tiniest of details! But even more importantly, she is incredibly understanding and compassionate with her clients. I first met Victoria when my breast reconstruction doctor recommended her to do the areola tattoos for my breast reconstruction after my double mastectomy. I'll admit, I was hesitant at first about the procedure since I had been through so much already and was weary of just everything. But I must say that she truly set me at ease with her heartfelt kindness and compassion. Her artistry was perfect - even my dermatologist assumed my areolas were real! It was a good last step in winning against cancer.

“I had a mastectomy in 2003 and a second one in 2004 (thank God we only have two [breasts])! I went back and forth trying to decide toward reconstruction or not...so, for the last twelve years I've pretty much been a 'blank canvas'! Victoria was recommended to me by Dr. Castellon, and his entire staff raves about her artistic talents. Yesterday I went back for my touch up, and today I have two beautiful, artistically done areolas! The entire experience was done with professionalism and sensitive attention, thoughtful philosophy and a good amount of humor! I highly recommend Victoria...I can't wait to go back to get my eye liner done!”

Hi Victoria, I had my yearly check up with my general surgeon, Dr. Hanley. He is so fascinated with the areola repigmentation last he had his wife come in & look. They work together. This year again I was so happy with the way they look. He was telling his medical assistant that they were permanent cosmetics and she said, "oh my I thought that they were real!" She thought that I had nipple sparing. He said that’s from the 3D look. You do amazing work. I'm so proud of & grateful for what you have given back to me. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.

Under the WHCRA, mastectomy benefits must cover:

  • Reconstruction of the breast that was removed by mastectomy
  • Surgery and reconstruction of the other breast to make the breasts look symmetrical or balanced after mastectomy
  • Any external breast prostheses (breast forms that fit into your bra) that are needed before or during the reconstruction
  • Any physical complications at all stages of mastectomy, including lymphedema (fluid build-up in the arm and chest on the side of the surgery)

Mastectomy benefits may have a yearly deductible and may require that you pay some out-of-pocket costs.
